Registration & Titles
All ATVs in Pennsylvania, except ATVs used solely for business or agricultural purposes, need to be registered and titled in Pennsylvania.
Two types of registrations apply:
- For ATVs used anywhere off of your own property or property leased by you, such as designated State Forest trails
- For ATVs used solely on your own land or land leased by you
Transferring Titles Privately
DO NOT REMOVE THE REGISTRATION DECAL OR PLATE FROM THE MACHINE.
Unlike a car, the plate stays with the machine when transferred to a new owner.
What Do I Need to Bring for a Private Sale?
Make an appointment with us and bring:
- Title
- Valid Identification
- Bill of sale
- The owner of the machine must be present to have the signature witnessed in front of a notary.
